Women in leadership know exactly what stress looks like, it’s something that we can’t seem to get rid of. This is why, as much as we get up, go to work, play so many different roles other than being in a leadership role and make things happen we have to prioritize our overall wellbeing and mental health. This may seem like a lot when you have too many things to juggle but with these few effective tips, you can go about your daily activities, smash those goals and still prioritize wellness. Wellness means putting your emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual health first.
1. STAND UP
It’s easy to sit down in a spot for 8 hours without realizing it because you’re trying to get things done. This has a terrible effect on the overall state of your body, catch yourself when you’ve been sitting for too long and stand up. Standing up will help your body reprogram.
2. TAKE WALKS
Cool walks can do much more than we give them credit for. Just taking a walk around your neighborhood can relieve you of the stress of the entire day more than you know. Feel and see everything happening around you.
Meditation can happen anytime, you can pause from work and just breathe, observe your environment and listen to your thoughts calmly, or focus on one thing. You don’t need anything special to meditate, just you and your mind.These tips are very simple and can help you incorporate wellness into your daily work routine as women, we tend to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders and trying these simple but yet helpful tips can make a big difference.
